In local mode, the language model runs inside your browser using WebGPU when available, with a WASM fallback. Your prompt does not need to travel to an application server. Chats and memories are stored locally, and you decide when Cappy remembers something.
Local voice transcription
Turn a short voice note into text on your device. The original recording can remain attached to the saved memory.
Works after the download
The progressive web app caches its shell and local model assets so supported devices can reopen it without a constant connection.
Cloud only when chosen
If you opt into an external model provider or web search, Cappy clearly separates those features from local mode.
